The Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council's Costumes for a Cause & Block Party is a family-friendly community event that brings neighbors together for an afternoon of fun, creativity, and giving back. Families and residents are invited to enjoy activities such as a bounce house, arts and crafts, free cookies, and hot cocoa while connecting with others in the neighborhood. The event also encourages attendees to donate leftover Halloween candy and gently used costumes in support of Children's Mercy, giving these items a second life while contributing to a meaningful cause. Through this initiative, the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council promotes community involvement, generosity, and neighborhood pride while creating a welcoming environment for residents of all ages to celebrate, connect, and make a positive difference together.
