CCF Unveils 2025 Community Development Workshop Sessions and Immersive Experiences
Community Capital Fund (CCF) is proud to announce that immersive experiences and workshop sessions have been finalized for the 2025 Community Development Workshop (CDW), happening Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center (4750 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO).
Since 2013, CDW has brought together Kansas City’s grassroots leaders, neighborhood organizations, nonprofits, small businesses, and residents to share knowledge, build connections, and strengthen communities. This no-cost, casual, and inclusive event has become the premier gathering for showcasing the beauty and ingenuity of Kansas City neighborhoods.
Two Days of Powerful Community Learning
Friday, October 3: Immersive Experiences and CDW Kick-Off Party
Hands-on, interactive site visits across the region. This year, participants will:
• Explore Youth Leadership in Action at the Dunbar neighborhood’s S.H.I.N.E. Program.
• Experience the Unveiling of Boston Daniels Park, a new hub for healing, creativity, and neighborhood pride in the Quindaro Peace and Arts District.Saturday, October 4: Workshop Sessions
Expert-led workshops that equip attendees with new skills and tools, featuring topics such as:
• Healing-centered neighborhood leadership.
• Youth voices in violence prevention.
• The Art of Gathering framework for community events.
• Zoning, codes, and effective neighborhood advocacy.
• Insider insights from funders.
