At Ask SAMIE our mission is to create accessibility everywhere! We do that by giving everyone on demand access to qualified information on accessibility solutions to meet their specific level of ability and accommodate their environmental barriers. By establishing a grant program we are lowering the barrier to entry and facilitating the ability for older adults to maintain living at home safely and independently.
Ask SAMIE is fiscally sponsored by Community Capital Fund (CCF) through a Model A Fiscal Sponsorship. A pre-grant relationship model, Model C fiscal sponsorship provides an alternative to starting a nonprofit for mission-aligned, community development projects in the Greater Kansas City region. Charitable projects selected for this program are able to seek grants and tax-deductible donations without having their own 501(c)(3) status, thus increasing the capacity and impact of their projects.
