2017 Community Development Workshop
5th Annual Community Development Workshop
Saturday, February 11, 2017
8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Kauffman Foundation Conference Center
The workshop is a free, full-day workshop that brings together community stakeholders - residents, neighborhood associations, nonprofits, agencies and others - to learn, collaborate, and be empowered. The workshop allows participants from both sides of the State Line to connect to resources, learn new skills and best practices, share insights, and develop new relationships for collaboration.
This year’s workshop features a keynote address by Shirronda Almeida, Director of the Mel King Institute, a community arts activity by ArtsTech, and dynamic breakout sessions on topics including youth and resident engagement, neighborhood revitalization, project planning, and technical skill building.
The workshop is organized by the Community Capital Fund, in partnership with Greater Kansas City LISC, Livable Neighborhoods, and the Center for Neighborhoods.
